Determining Dimensions of Fuselage and Empennage

Before design team could finalize their variablized fuselage and tail design, physics team had to determine several dimensions. Below are the methods used to calculate these dimensions:

To size the vertical tail, we knew its volume coefficient had to be around 0.04 and so we drew up some sketches and toyed with it until it had that volume coefficient. The vertical tail sketch is shown below.
